July Moodboard: Summer fun for all
"If only it could always be like this - always summer"
Summer is here apparently! Blame the holiday mood for the later than usual monthly moodboard.
We're just back from a trip to Cornwall - relaxing sea air, sandy beachy babies and way too much fish and chips (and booze)! The Lost Gardens of Heligan was a wonderful day out and the rest of the time we made it up as we went along in true Woman In Progress style.
Now we're back - what to do? Pick your own season is in full swing. We're lucky to have somewhere to go within minutes of home but there are plenty of places around the country to enjoy. Take the children for a treat and come home with a glut of fruit. If you've enough left over you could use them in the Eton mess recipe or in a sorbet for the latest Cocktail Club. Escape abroad with this bag featured by the brilliant Holly & Co. Holly is a self confessed cheerleader to artisans and creatives and their brilliant products. Supporting independent business and getting something this practical and gorgeous all in one go, what's not to like?
Not quite so practical but oh so pretty are these Raefeather slides. We love the pompoms and the rainbow! Back to practicality: if you're festival bound then these classic Hunter wellingtons are brilliant: an absolute necessity for all seasons in England and much needed this weekend at our muddy visit to Secret Garden Party.
When you find something like this jelly mould, you should just grab it, grab two. We're thinking one for us and one for the gift cupboard. On the topic of gifts, this pocket money purse is reminiscent of something we had as children and can now treat the little ones to (if they're good).
With school finished and a long summer ahead, take a look at our list of great places for a day out in Cambridgeshire.
Wishing you a happy summer full of fruit picking, festival dancing and lazy beach days...and not too much rain.
